COVID-19 Updates

To protect the health and safety of our community, Sidney Health Center is implementing necessary precautions across the organization including visitor restrictions, rescheduling non-essential medical care, and limiting general public access to our services and retail areas.

What to do if you have symptoms of COVID-19?

If you develop symptoms such as fever, cough, and/or difficulty breathing, and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or have recently traveled from an area with ongoing spread of COVID-19, stay home and call your healthcare provider.

Older patients and individuals who have severe underlying medical conditions or are immunocompromised should contact their healthcare provider early, even if their illness is mild.

If you have severe symptoms, such as:

  • persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • new confusion or inability to arouse
  • bluish lips or face

Contact your healthcare provider or emergency room and seek care immediately. Your doctor will determine if you have signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and whether you should be tested.

If you think you have a respiratory illness, please follow this interim advice:

  • If you are sick and have mild symptom, stay at home and self-isolate as much as possible.
  • If you are sick enough that you would normally go to the doctor, call ahead to your medical provider for instructions.
  • If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
  • To avoid spreading respiratory illnesses, please do not show up at the Walk-In Clinic or Sidney Health Center Clinic without calling in advance for instructions.

Walk-In Clinic Same Day Appointments

Walk-In Clinic patients are asked to call 406-488-3963 to schedule a same-day appointment instead of presenting at the clinic entrance.

Visitor Restrictions

Sidney Health Center is restricting patient and resident visitation across the organization including the hospital, Cancer Care, Extended Care and The Lodge. Signs have been posted at all entryway doors to notify visitors of this policy. In addition, we have locked the clinic entrance doors and are directing public traffic through the main hospital entrance. All patients and visitors are being screened and directed to the appropriate registration area. We are asking only patients seeking emergency care use the ER entrance.

What if you have a clinic wellness visit or outpatient appointment scheduled?

Non-essential clinic visits may be postponed until further notice. Receptionists will be reaching out to reschedule your wellness checks, health screenings and elective procedures as they deem necessary.
