Sidney Health Center is pleased to announce that Dr. Aaron J. Franke has joined the Cancer Care team as a full-time Medical Oncologist. Since August 2023, Dr. Franke has been serving the community as a locum physician at Sidney Health Center. His decision to transition to a long-term role reflects his strong commitment to providing high-quality care to patients in the MonDak region.
Dr. Franke brings a wide-range of knowledge and experience to Sidney Health Center’s Cancer Care team, having previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Florida. He also held the position of Associate Research Director of the Lung Cancer Group at UF Health Cancer Center, where he contributed to advancing cancer research and treatment.
Dr. Franke completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Florida, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the prestigious H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, affiliated with the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He is board-certified in internal medicine, oncology, and hematology, with particular focus in treating head and neck cancers, lung cancer, and a wide range of complex oncological conditions.
Dr. Franke joins an established team of oncology experts at Sidney Health Center, including experienced oncologists, chemotherapy-certified nurses, and dedicated support staff. Together, they provide comprehensive cancer care to the residents of Richland County and the surrounding rural communities, ensuring that patients receive personalized, state-of-the-art treatment close to home.
