Visitor's Guide

Visiting Patients at Sidney Health Center

Visitors are encouraged at Sidney Health Center because we believe they play an important role in helping patients recover. Visitors may include, but are not limited to a spouse, a domestic partner (including a same-sex domestic partner), another family member, or a friend. The patient has the right to receive visitors he or she designates or withdraw or deny such consent at any time.

Sidney Health Center has open visiting hours and welcomes all without restrictions, limitations, or denials based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability. 

Patients seeking care in the Emergency Department will be limited to one (1) support person. 

Additional restrictions may be necessary for the following issues:
• Infection control concerns
• Interference with the care of others
• Court orders restricting contact
• Visitors that behave in a  disruptive, threatening or violent manner
• Limitation of visitors while care interventions are occurring

Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirt and shoes. Children under 12 years of age must be in the 
company and under the supervision of a responsible adult.

Sidney Health Center is a tobacco free organization and tobacco use is strictly prohibited anywhere on our campuses. 

 

Entrance Hours

While Sidney Health Center has open visiting hours, for the safety and security of patients, residents, staff and guests, entrances are closed in the evening.  To gain access to the hospital after entrances are closed, go to the ER entrance and pick up the phone for the staff assistance.  To gain access to Extended Care after entrances are closed, go to the Extended Care main entrance and press the button for staff assistance.

Emergency Entrance Hours: 

  • Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Main Hospital Entrance Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

Clinic Entrance Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed 

Extended Care Entrance Hours: 

  • Daily: 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM
