Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive treatment that involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. This therapy has shown remarkable benefits in various medical conditions, including wound healing, decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, and more.
Dr. Kiehl, expressed excitement about the addition of this state-of-the-art service, stating, "We're thrilled to introduce Hyperbaric Therapy to our range of services. This treatment has demonstrated remarkable results in improving the quality of life for individuals with various medical conditions."
The newly equipped hyperbaric room at Sidney Health Center features cutting-edge technology and a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing safe and effective treatments for patients in need.
Oxygen, when delivered to a patient in a hyperbaric chamber, greatly increases the amount of oxygen that can be delivered to body tissues by blood. All the benefits provided by hyperbaric oxygen therapy are a result of this extra oxygen being carried within the bloodstream.
Patients, who are referred to the Hyperbaric Wound Care Clinic, usually undergo as many as 30-40 treatments to achieve maximum benefit. An individualized treatment plan is discussed with the patient prior to undergoing this type of therapy.
Through the years, proceeds from the gift shop and second-hand store have benefited services throughout the organization with upgrades to equipment in the lab, obstetrics, radiology, rehabilitation services, surgery, and cancer care, to name a few.
