Moose Lodge donates toys to Emergency Department
The Sidney Health Center Emergency Department recently received a donation of plush moose toys from the Sidney Moose Lodge 856 and Women of the Moose Chapter 761. The toys are used to help calm patients that come to the Emergency Department to receive care.
“Understandably, emergency situations can bring out stress and anxiety in many patients,” stated Tammy Jones, Director of Nursing. “These donated plush toys are a great tool for staff to use to help the patients focus on something besides the trauma. While most of the toys are used for children, teens and adults also benefit from safety and security that the toys offer.”
Mark Delaney, Sidney Moose Lodge member and Director of Engineering at Sidney Health Center, presented the plush toys to Emergency and Respiratory Care staff members.
Delaney commented, “The Moose Lodge and Women of the Moose are proud to help the community in any way possible.”
Thank you, Sidney Moose Lodge and Women of the Moose, for this very generous donation!
