January 25, 2021 by Sidney Health Center Marketing
Sidney Health Center is partnering with the Richland County Health Department to do a mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Tuesday, January 26 at the Richland County Event Center for Phase 1B of the vaccination roll-out. Phase 1B includes individuals 70 years and older and anyone over the age of 18 who has underlying health conditions. We are excited to start immunizing those most vulnerable to COVID-19, including 200 community members, who are set to receive the first dose of the vaccine.
To date, we have vaccinated 504 individuals including 312 employees, 64 long-term care residents, 59 VNS clients and 6 hospital inpatients at Sidney Health Center. In addition, we have worked with the Richland County Health Department to vaccinate 33 ROI clients and staff members as well as 30 Crestwood residents and staff.
As an organization, we fully support the use of the new COVID-19 vaccine and its role in protecting everyone from illness and helping to end the ongoing pandemic that has hit our community.
Community members who interested in receiving the vaccine are encouraged to call the Richland County Health Department at 433-2207 to get on the list for upcoming vaccination clinics.
Vaccinations are done on a block-schedule basis as one vial of vaccine contains 10 doses that need to be administered within 6 hours of opening.
